Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources held a brainstorming session on the future of career development, in the presence of HH Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadem, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, at the headquarters of Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, with the participation of Heads of Departments and Sections and several officials.
The session was held with the aim of generating creative ideas to make radical and excellent changes in establishing the human resources in the Emirate, consisting of employees and job seekers, through initiatives and ideas that improve training and achieve the highest levels of efficiency.
The five-hour session tackled a series of main subjects that included keeping abreast of training developments, upgrading and developing training services, developing the departments concerned with employees and job seekers, enriching human resources with training and self-improvement and the relationship between training sessions and performance evaluation and behavioural competence. These subjects were addressed and solutions were concluded, extracting implied knowledge therefrom, through which several frameworks were launched regulating the future of work development and government functions, as well as the rapid variables that require solutions to match the skills of the future in order to achieve the objectives. Future questions related to the field of training and the role of the human element were reviewed as a cornerstone at all levels of growth and development.
The discussion highlighted the importance of training in preparing future generations to deal successfully with future variables, and the necessity of continuing the development of preparation, qualification and training to ensure the optimal use of the same.
 Participants in the brainstorming session concluded a number of innovative ideas and practical solutions, to be discussed and studied for implementation, and then used for the service of the government work environment.

HH Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadem, Chairman of the Directorate, insisted on sharing the discussions and brainstorming sessions with the groups and reviewing the same.
He stressed the interest of the Directorate of Human Resources in strengthening the orientation of the State and the future vision that focuses on the competent human element that keeps pace with the changes. He said:  This session is under the directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, who affirms that the man is the origin of development and the basis of sound investment leading to comprehensive development.
He added that the brainstorming session in this regard stems from the main role of the Directorate in providing training programmes and founding rules that drive the growth and development forward, and promotes the skills of the national cadres so that the national human resources reach the highest levels of quality and professionalism, and enhance their position in the work fields with the academic qualifications, applied skills and exceptional abilities. Thus, the national cadres become the strongest and most appropriate element in the functions’ fields, which meet the needs and excel in leadership.
